Paulina Rubio had the chance to work with Mario Quintero of Los Tucanes de Tijuana on La Voz Mexico 2.
According to reports, she didn’t want to work with him because she didn’t know of him.
This is absurd for someone that is in the music world and someone that takes pride in being Mexican.
Mario Quintero not only is one of the most popular and liked vocalists in the Regional Mexican genre, he is also a composer, arranger, producer, and musician.
He has more than two decades making music, more than 30 albums recorded (not including compilations), countless awards for the songs he has written that he and other artists have sang.
He has composed theme songs for telenovelas and movies and was even chosen by the Tourism Board of Mexico to write a song about the beauty of the country.
The fact that Mario sings a different genre than Paulina would have been a huge advantage for La Chica Dorada.
It also doesn’t hurt that he, unlike Pau, does sing, as well.

Esto es absurdo para alguien que está en el mundo de la música y dice ser tan mexicana.
Mario Quintero no sólo es uno de los vocalistas más populares y queridos del género regional mexicano, es compositor, arreglista, productor, y músico.
Lleva más de dos décadas en la música, más de 30 álbumes grabados (no incluyendo las compilaciones), innumerables reconocimientos por las canciones que ha escrito y él y otros artistas han interpretado.
Sus canciones han sido temas principales de telenovelas y películas y hasta fue elegido por la Secretaría de Turismo de México para escribir un tema exaltando la belleza del país.
El hecho de que Mario interpreta un género tan diferente al de Paulina le hubiera dado una gran ventaja a la Chica Dorada.
El hecho de que él, a diferencia de ella, sí canta, también.
