José Ángel Medina, lead singer and founder of Patrulla 81, suffered an “express kidnapping” last Friday in México City.
Don José Ángel was on his way to do an interview when he boarded a taxi to get there.
“I wasn’t mistrusting when he started to go in circles, as if he was lost, but it was too late when I reacted because I had a couple of armed men almost inside the car.”
He said that in a matter of seconds his belongings were taken while he was threatened to death if he dared said anything to the authorities.
A few minutes later he was released and walked under the rain, lost for a few hours before he asked for help and was taken back to his hotel.
“Those have been the longest hours I have lived; my life flashed in my head within minutes. I am fine, thank God, I was born again.”
We are glad he’s ok after such a scary situation!

Don José Ángel se dirigía a hacer una entrevista cuando abordó un taxi para llegar ahí.
“No desconfíe cuando el conductor empezó a dar sólo vueltas, como si estuviera perdido, pero fue demasiado tarde cuando reaccione porque ya tenía casi adentro del carro a un par de sujetos armados.”
Dijo que en cuestión de segundos le quitaron sus pertenencias mientras era amenazado de muerte si se atrevía a decirle algo a las autoridades.
Minutos después fue dejando en libertad y caminó bajo la lluvia, perdido por unas horas hasta que pidió ayuda y lo llevaron a su hotel.
“Esas horas han sido las más largas que he vivido, pues en segundos paso mi vida por mi cabeza. Estoy bien gracias a dios, volví a nacer.”
Nos da gusto que esté bien después de tremendo susto!
